Tomorrow, Lucy returns to the eye doctor. The stitches from her inner eyelid will be removed. Hopefully the infected melting ulcer on her cornea has improved. If not, her eye will need to be removed. We have been diligent in giving her the best care. If we lose the eye, we know we have done our best.
About a week ago, Ray received a gift for "Boss's Day". Ray's coworkers also presented him with a gift for Lucy, too. It was a bag of dog biscuits, and a sweet "Get Well Soon" card. It was signed not only with the names of Ray's coworkers, but with the names of their pets, too. What a sweet gesture.

Been thinking of lovely Lucy all week long! Be sure to post what you find out at the doctor. I have been hoping that all of the care she has been given is going to make a difference! <3 :)

Thanks Kerry! I have tried to make peace with the likelihood of hearing bad news tomorrow. Hopefully I am wrong, but I've tried to accept the fact that she might be a one eyed dog beginning tomorrow.

No matter what the results are at tomorrow's vet visit, Lucy knows that she is loved ... that's the most important part of this. You and your husband have gone above and beyond. The two of you are my heroes!
